PROJECT BRIEF

Besides a few yellow accent stripes, the studio’s limited material palette of white, brushed metal, black and grey flooring allows the LED placements content and lighting cues to completely redefine the character of the space.

 

This malleability, paired with two anchor desks for both Arabic and English segments, affords each show a distinct look while occupying the same studio.

 

The double-height space most notably boasts a low-profile bent-steel staircase which leads to a mezzanine level occupied by the control room and office access.

 

This architectural feature defines the primary shot axis for Emirates News (Ar), which completes its look by saturating the set with rich prime-time blues and  iconic evening high-rise show graphics.
